A BLACKWELL man died as a result of an industrial disease an inquest heard.
James Rous, in Station Road, Blackwell, was admitted into the Princess of Wales Community Hospital, in Stourbridge Road, on April 13 where he deteriorated and died on April 24.
During the course of his working life the 75-year-old was exposed to asbestos. As a result he developed mesothelioma and in later years became increasingly unwell.
The medical cause of death was epitheloid mesothelioma.
At his inquest, on April 27, the Worcestershire coroner recorded the verdict.
