COMIC presenting duo Ant and Dec were double winners at the television Bafta awards last night.

Their ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway, beat off competition from Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice and Dynamo: Magician Impossible for the best entertainment programme. They also won best entertainment performance.

Sherlock, the detective show starring Benedict Cumberbatch, scooped one of the top awards of the night – the only gong voted for by the public.

SIMON Cowell has dropped the strongest hint yet that Louis Walsh has lost his place on The X Factor judging panel.

The music mogul tweeted: “Louis Walsh is one of the good guys. We will always be friends. The door remains open and who knows what’s next…”

It follows mounting speculation over the shake-up of the hit ITV talent show, which has already seen presenter Dermot O’Leary step down as host to be replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.

Reports have suggested Louis will be replaced as a judge after 11 years, with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson among those tipped to replace him.

FINALLY, the housemates set to enter this year’s redesigned Big Brother house have been revealed ahead of the Channel 5 show’s live launch.

The broadcaster has taken the unprecedented step of introducing the 16 people who will be subject to round-the-clock filming before the new series airs for the first time on Tuesday.

They will be entering an altered building complete with a fish tank and a round sofa said to be inspired by the 1960s style of hit TV show Mad Men.

Presenters Emma Willis and Rylan Clark will return to the reality show, which is now called Big Brother: Timebomb.
