A BIG hearted youngster has been praised for her generosity after wanting to help youngsters affected by the Nepal earthquake.

After hearing about the devastating earthquake young Darcy Wright decided she wanted to help the children.

The kind four-year-old who lives at the Parklands began sorting out her clothes so they could be passed to the children.

She then spoke to her friends at Castle Nursery in Perryfields, encouraging them to also sort out their clothes so she could collect them.

Darcy's mum, Donna, said after she inspired others they were overwhelmed by the response.

"Her efforts are commendable at such a young age and we're sure that there are many adults who could learn a lot from her thoughtfulness, compassion and generosity," she said.

"As her parents we are extremely proud of her efforts and overwhelmed at how she has inspired others to join in for such a worthy cause."

The clothes collected are being passed on to a local charity who will be helping to deliver them to those who needs clothes in Nepal.
