SIMON Cowell has admitted he “felt like a bit of an idiot” after learning Britain’s Got Talent winner Jules O’Dwyer used a stunt double dog during the final.

The disclosure that a lookalike dog was used to walk the parallel ropes sparked 507 complaints by yesterday evening to communications watchdog Ofcom and another 130 to ITV.

ITV boss Peter Fincham said the presentation of the act was a “judgment call” and the use of another dog, Chase, should have been made clearer.

The comeback Teletubbies have been revealed – complete with touch-screens on their stomachs.

The classic show is returning, almost 20 years after Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po made their debut – then with TV screens on their fronts.

Now the creatures – famous for their Eh-oh! catchphrase – still have antennas on their heads but the TV screens have been replaced by “21st century touch screen tummies”.

Eddie Redmayne has been confirmed to star in the Harry Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.

The Oscar-winning Theory Of Everything star had been one of the frontrunners, alongside fellow Brit Benedict Cumberbatch, to play magizoologist and textbook author Newt Scamander in Warner Bros’ big-screen adaptation of JK Rowling’s book.

Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production, confirmed the casting, saying: “Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today’s most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors."
