YOUNGSTERS at Clent Parochial Primary School got the chance to visit the Houses of Parliament recently, and meet up with Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid in the House of Commons.

The children had a special guided visit around Westminster, and met up with Mr Javid, where they had the chance to ask him about what he does to represent the area in Parliament.

Chris Hamilton, headteacher at the school, said: “Our visit to Westminster was a fantastic experience that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It was great opportunity for the children to ask Sajid about life as our local representative and his work in Parliament as both MP and business secretary.”

Mr Javid, added: “It was a pleasure to meet such bright and enthusiastic pupils. Young children have a fantastic way of getting straight to the point - which is brilliant for keeping me on my toes. With such fervour and poignancy I’m sure we have some future politicians in our midst.”
