A TEAM from a Bromsgrove-based communications agency are taking part in a 100-mile race to make their way home from a secret drop-off point.

The team from Superdream in Bromsgrove are taking part in Global Radio’s Run for Home Challenge, and they will be dropped off at a secret location 100 miles from the Genting Arena in Birmingham, with the task of making their way back in as quick a time as possible without spending any money.

The challenge raises money for the radio station’s Make Some Noise charity, which helps disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

The team has already held a rock-star themed car wash to boost their fundraising efforts, and staff have been encouraged to dress up as their favourite rock gods.

The company is also offering marketing masterclasses on PR, social media and pay per click (PPC) marketing to other businesses in and around Bromsgrove for a minimum donation of £50.

Aaron Jones, senior media buyer at Superdream who is taking part in the Run For Home challenge, said: “We won’t know our starting location until we’re dropped there on the day so there’s no doubt it’ll be tough but a lot of fun. The whole agency has been fantastic at getting behind us and we’re hoping to raise more than £500 for Make Some Noise.”

Jason Manning, managing director of Superdream, added: “Entering a team for the Run For Home challenge is part of our wider aim as an agency to offer our support to more charities, both locally and nationally. This is a fantastic event to be part of and I’m looking forward to seeing what tricks the Superdream team has up its sleeve to get home.”

The Run for Home challenge is set to take place on Sunday, July 12. For further information about Superdream’s marketing masterclasses or to book a place, write to Mark McDonagh at mark.mcdonagh@superdream.co.uk.
