AN organisation which arranges host families for French students visiting the UK is on the lookout for Bromsgrove residents who might be willing to act as hosts for a visit taking place this month.

Lisa Mistry who works as a co-ordinator for French company LEC, which is organising for a group of 30 French students to visit Bromsgrove from Thursday, July 9 to July 22 when they return to France.

While they’re here the plan is for them to take English lessons at Bournville College in the mornings, before trying out a whole host of activities including golf, bowling and visiting Cadbury World, as well as trying the traditional fish and chips, and afternoon tea during their stay.

Ms Mistry is still looking for a few families to act as hosts for the students.

There is a financial reward to taking part, and families don’t need to speak French, as the students speak good English.

Anyone with a spare room or two, who is interested in welcoming a French student into their home, should contact Lisa on 07702 504495 or write to l.mistry@aol.co.uk.
