FOLLOWING a rare day of rain yesterday, the forecast today across most parts of the Black Country and North Worcestershire will see the glorious sunshine of earlier this week return.

From being clear overnight it will stay fine with sunny periods after a warm start to the day. Temperatures will be at highs of around 23°C.

Throughout the day the sunshine will pick up and it will begin to feel increasingly warmer as the day goes by.

It will become towards the end of the day with cloud building from the southwest and easterly winds of about 11mph, but temperatures will increase into the afternoon to reach highs of around the 25.5°C mark.

This evening will be warm and humid, with heavy, thundery showers moving northeast during the evening, bringing the risk of hail and some locally torrential downpours.

Later in the night it will become dry, with minimum temperatures of around 15°C.

For those like myself who are currently suffering from hay fever, the pollen count is very high today.
