THE sky was no limit for a 16-year-old Bromsgrove schoolgirl as she leapt 12,500ft from a plane to raise money for cystic fibrosis sufferers.

Alice Fain, who has just completed her GCSEs at North Bromsgrove High School, was inspired to do the skydive because her parents' two-year-old god daughter has the condition.

She took to the skies above Brackley in Northamptonshire for the tandem jump and her effort has so far raised £1,197 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

"It was amazing - so good," said Alice, who lives in Catshill and plans to go on to do A Levels in geography, sport and psychology.

"It's absolutely the best thing I have ever done."

Alice wanted to do the skydive because she thought it would challenge her but, legally, she had to wait until she was 16 to be able to complete it.

And she says it was so good she wants to do it again one day.
