A BROMSGROVE club for residents semi-retired, retired or planning to retire in the near future are welcoming new members.

The Bromsgrove (1982) Probus Club provides an opportunity for retired professionals to meet socially and share common issues.

It organises weekly and monthly leisure activities focusing on social and friendly involvement.

Activities include bowls, snooker and golf.

Monthly walks are also organised, the technology group meeting to share experiences, while summer outings are planned including to BBC studios, a coach trip to Oxford and a tour of Birmingham Symphony Hall.

A members meeting is held at Avoncroft Arts Centre, in Redditch Road, the third Wednesday of each month from 10am until noon.

The meetings feature talks by guest speakers,with forthcoming subjects to include The Home Front at Christmas, Wildlife on the River Severn and Your Local Cheese and its History.

Anyone interested in joining the group is invited to attend a meeting, and meet members.
