A BROMSGROVE woman has been recognised in a national competition to find future leaders in the housing sector.

Leanne Wilkins, aged 27, a customer scrutiny support officer at WM Housing Group in Birmingham, features in a list of "Young Leaders 2015", dedicated to up-and-coming housing professionals under 30 years old.

The group manages more than 30,000 homes across Worcestershire, Herefordshire, the West Midlands, Coventry and Birmingham.

Ian Hill, director of strategy, performance and communications at WM Housing Group, who nominated her for the award, said: “Leanne does not allow herself to be defined by her job description.

"Her ambition led to her selection to attend our Warwick Business School Line Management programme, which she completed with flying colours."

Jon Pendrill, director at Maxmedia, which sponsored this year’s 24 Housing magazine's Young Leaders Award, said: “Over the past four years there have been some truly amazing people recognised as inspiring young leaders, demonstrating what a brilliant sector social housing is to work in.

“Across the UK they are making a huge difference to so many lives in our communities and neighbourhoods.”
