Soccersite Cup Final Droitwich Spa Ladies 2 Leominster Town 0.
DROITWICH Spa Ladies gave manager Darrell Haines the perfect send off when they clinched the Soccersite Cup with a win over Leominster Town.
Haines is retiring from local football after 16 years as a coach, and was looking to go out with a bang after seeing his side lose two cup finals to Leominster this season, including last week's Kidderminster County League Cup final loss.
But the league champions made sure it was a happy farewell for their manager, by making it third time lucky.
Tracey Haycock eased the nerves by giving Spa an early lead with a brilliant effort from 20 yards.
They came close to doubling their lead a minute later when Melissa Haines forced a great save from Leominster's keeper.
Spa remained on top and kept the partisan crowd quiet, before going in 1-0 up at the break.
It was one-way traffic again in the second half and Haines came close again, but couldn't quite reach Tanya Hills' cross.
Another string of saves from the Leominster keeper kept Spa out, but top scorer Tiffany O'Brien sealed the trophy by adding a second goal.
