Motorists using the M6 northbound should be aware of heavy traffic between J9 (Wednesbury) and J10 (Wolverhampton) as one lane is closed due to a multi-vehicle accident. Delays can be expected from J8 M5.

Commuters using trains this morning have been warned that services between Birmingham Snow Hill and London Marylebone are being delayed because of over running engineering work at Banbury.

Dudley: One lane of Tipton Road is closed between Castle Gate island and the Birmingham New Road junction because of roadworks during off-peak periods and water main work.

One lane of Birmingham New Road is also closed at the Sedgley Road junction due to gas main work.

Resurfacing work has closed Lake Street in Lower Gornal in both directions between the junctions with Deepdale Lane and Robert Street. A diversion is in operation.

Redditch: Delays expected on Birmingham Road between the Dagnell End Road junction and Redditch Road because of temporary traffic lights.

Rowley Regis: Temporary traffic lights are causing delays on Dudley Road at the Doulton Road junction.

Stourbridge: Mill Street in Wordsley is closed in both direction between the junctions with Brierley Hill Road and Bridge Street because of a fire damaged building.

Oldbury: Gas main work and temporary traffic lights spell delays for those using Bodenham Road.

Bromsgrove: The Strand is closed between the junctions with Stourbridge Road and Windsor Street because of resurfacing work during the night. A diversion is in operation.

Kidderminster: Temporary traffic lights look set to cause delays on Mason Road between the junctions with Crane Street and Habberley Road.
