BROMSGROVE MP, Sajid Javid has signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment in time for the Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday, January 27.
The Book of Commitment honours the millions of murdered victims and survivors of the Holocaust, in a pledge to fight against modern day prejudice and intolerance.
Sajid Javid said: “Our fight against extremism and anti-Semitism is not over. Holocaust Memorial Day is an important moment to reflect and to stand united against such atrocities now, as then.”
Commemorative events are taking place across the country, including the Trust’s Lessons from Auschwitz Project which Bromsgrove schools can join.
“Thank you to the Holocaust Educational Trust for all the incredible work you do to make sure we never forget,” added Mr Javid.
Mr Javid took part in the Lessons from Auschwitz Project in 2011 accompanied by a group of students from Bromsgrove schools.
