A CYCLIST in his sixties has died after crashing with a white DAF lorry in Stoke Prior.

The bike and lorry were travelling in the same direction on Hanbury Road.

West Mercia Police were called to the scene on Thursday, March 31 at around 8.50am.

Two ambulance crews, a paramedic area support officer, a rapid response vehicle and a Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford in Shropshire attended.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin has been informed.

Roads between Stoke Pound Lane and Moorgate Road were closed following the incident but have now been re-opened.

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses and is asking anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference number 110S.
