YOUNGSTERS at Jellybabies Nursery in Rubery spent the day dressed up as pirates recently as part of birthday celebrations for one of the nursery’s volunteers.
Every year full time volunteer Darren Walker celebrates his birthday at the nursery with a pirate-themed day for the children, and this year saw them taking part in a treasure hunt, and playing games like follow the pirate, musical islands, walk the plank, and sword fights with foam swords.
They also took time to learn all about pirates and how they lived.
