A MAN has been charged after he threatened police officers with an axe in Bromsgrove last night.
Police attended an address on Breakback Road on Thursday, May 5 to execute an arrest but the suspect was not present.
While at the address, officers noticed that a vehicle on the property had no insurance and informed another occupant that it would be seized.
The man then threatened officers with a bladed object, described by police as a mini-axe.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
Mark Kendall, 33, has been charged with possession of a knife blade or sharp object in a public place and driving without insurance.
He will appear at Redditch Magistrates' Court on May 24.
Claire Kendall, 38, has been charged with using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of, or provoke, violence.
