THE headteacher of North Bromsgrove High School and Sixth Form has announced he will be leaving the school in January 2017 to join Bewdley High School and Sixth Form.

David Hadley-Pryce made the announcement on Friday, May 27, after teaching at the school for four years.

In his letter to parents, Mr Hadley-Pryce said: "During the past four years we have seen substantial changes at North Bromsgrove, with an average increase in GCSE results of 14 per cent and strong recognition from Ofsted. Students wear a smart new uniform and our new three year GCSE programme and business links form an excellent foundation for the future for our young people.

"Whilst any change is tinged with a little sadness, I move on to my new challenge in the full knowledge that North Bromsgrove is a strong and strongly improving school, with lovely students and a talented and committed staff. I am confident the school will continue to improve and strengthen, already being an excellent place for children to learn and grow.

"I am still with the school for another half year, and very much look forward to working with you throughout this important time in your child’s education."
