POLICE in Cofton Hackett have issued a warning to residents, after a number of incidents, caused by people making a nuisance of themselves.
Outdoor furnishings have been moved on houses in the area, and in one incident, money left out for the local milkman has been stolen.
Because there is no CCTV available and no witnesses have been found to the incidents, West Mercia Police have not been able to identify any of the offenders responsible. However they have issued a warning to local people to be careful when leaving valuables around their properties or anywhere in the surrounding area.
Residents are also asked to report any suspicious behaviour to the police via the non-emergency number 101, or in the case of an emergency 999, so that officers can build up a picture of exactly what is happening and when.
Members of the Safer Neighbourhood Team are also available to visit residents’ homes to offer home security advice, and people can write to the team at hr.snt@westmercia.pnn.police.uk.
