A police hunt has got underway in Kidderminster after a man exposed himself to teenage girls in a park.

Two 17-year-old girls were sat in Springfield Park at around 6.30pm on Thursday June 23 when they saw a man stood peering through trees at them and performing a lewd act.

The girls walked off and the man is believed to have fled in the direction of Sion Hill.

A youth killed a newly-wed Oldbury man while behind the wheel of his mother's car after smoking cannabis.

Telecoms engineer Matthew Harding suffered head injuries and Danielle - his wife of just 10 days - had to make the "heart breaking" decision to turn off his life support machine after being told by doctor's there was no hope.

Mr Harding, aged 27, was working with colleague Jermaine Buchanan when the teenager ploughed into them after losing control of the Citroen Picasso he had been driving at 47mph in a 30mph limit in Coseley.

Opposition leaders have vowed to "fight tooth and nail" against Dudley Council's "ridiculous" plans to end to weekly bin collections and charge for the removal of green waste.

The Labour-led council announced last week that it was proposing to collect household rubbish and recycling on alternate weeks and that it would be looking to charge residents £30 a year for green waste collections.

Villagers have breathed a sigh of relief after a group of travellers who had set up camp in Wollaston finally moved on.

A spokesman for Dudley Council said papers were served on Friday urging the group of around 15 people to vacate the site off Bridgnorth Road and a court date had been scheduled for Wednesday.

But the travellers have reportedly packed up and moved on.

A mother-of-three who planned and took part in an armed raid, terrorising a couple at their home in Wythall, has been jailed for nine years and nine months at Worcester Crown Court.

Amy Egginton, of Beilby Road, Stirchley, Birmingham, had plotted the burglary at the home of company director Nirmal Gupta and his wife Saroj with her brother, Luke, after they had learned about money in the house.

The 25-year-old admitted aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit the offence and her jail sentence included three months for breaking her bail conditions by failing to turn up at an earlier sentencing hearing.

A date has finally been set for the opening of the new multi-million pound railway station in Bromsgrove.

On Tuesday, July 12, after more than two years of anticipation and delays, Bromsgrove Railway Station will officially open, boasting a range of improved facilities.

The new station will include a staffed ticket office, passenger waiting rooms, toilets and 350 onsite car parking spaces.
