MUSIC lovers in Bromsgrove will have the chance to hear one of the Midlands’ top organists this week with a concert at All Saint’s Church.
Nicholas Weane, who is an assistant fellow in the organ department at Birmingham Conservatoire, and has worked as organist at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London, and as assistant organist at St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, as well as being broadcast live for BBC and Classic FM, will be playing the Tamburini organ in the church.
He will be performing a concert of lighter classical items, including works by JS Bach and a number of British composers.
Tickets for the concert, which is taking place on Sunday, July 3r from 6pm at All Saint’s Church on the corner of Birmingham Road and Burcot Lane, are £8, which includes a drink, or £4 for under 16s.
