Thieves moved CCTV to avoid detection during bike theft
THIEVES in Bromsgrove stole a bicycle from a property on Austin Road despite the fact that it was covered by CCTV.
The offenders targeted the property at some point between 1.50am and 2.05am on Wednesday, July 13, and noticing the CCTV camera, redirected it so that it was pointing in a different direction, before stealing a red and black BMX nbike and leaving via the driveway, running up Austin Road.
Anyone who might have witnessed the incident, seen anybody acting suspiciously in the area, or been offered the BMX for sale, should contact West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident no. 0032s130716, or alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
