THERE’S a countrywide feeling to the next meeting of the Bromsgrove Folk Club as it stages its summer showcase at the end of July.

From the south east in Essex, Two Coats Colder will be performing, while from Leeds, there will be duo Skinner and T’Witch, and finally from Cambridge, singer songwriter Bernard Hoskin will be performing.

None of the acts performs very often in the Midlands, so it’s a rare chance to see them away from their own parts of the country.

The Bromsgrove Folk Club Summer Showcase is taking place on Thursday, July 28 at Catshill Social Club from 8pm and anyone is welcome to attend. Entry is £4 for members, £6 for non-members and £2 for under 25s.

The club also meets regularly on the second and last Thursday of every month at the same venue. For more information, visit bromsgrovefolkclub.co.uk or write to bobcynfolk@aol.com to be put onto the club’s regular mailing list.
