YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery in Longbridge were marking the end of an era this week, with a special service to see them off to start school in September.

17 children took part in a mini graduation, where they sang their favourite songs to a packed audience of parents, grandparents, childminders and carers, before being presented with medals, certificates, learning journals and framed photographs.

The ceremony was followed by snacks for everyone in the main hall.

Jacqueline Walker, manager at the nursery, said: “Although it will be sad to say goodbye to our nursery children and their families who we wish all the best for the future, we are looking forward to our pre-school children moving into our nursery group in September.”
