1. CROOME COURT, CROOME D’ABITOT – SUMMER ACTIVITIES

Thursday, July 21- Tuesday, September 6 Summer Daily Trails- Croome, near High Green, Worcester 10am-4pm. With two exciting trails to complete during the holidays, you'll have fun around the park. No booking required. £2 per trail, includes a prize.

Friday, July 29 Pond dipping with Worcestershire Wildlife Trust 11am-3pm. Hire a net and see what watery creatures you can find in our lake. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Meet by the lake and wear suitable footwear. Crafts also available. Child per net £1 and all per craft activity £1.

Sunday, July 31 Teddy bear zip wire 11am-4pm. Make a cape for your teddy and watch him fly down the house to the crash zone below. £2 per cape. Bring your own teddy or cuddly toy. Please expect a wait whilst we take the teddies to the 4th floor ... it's a long climb. One flight only!

Sunday, July 31 Archery lessons with Really Rural 10am-4.15pm. An Archery GB qualified instructor will show you how to shoot a 'Recurve Bow' with as much time spent shooting arrows as possible. Friday, August 5 Bug hunting activity day 11am-3pm. Hire a kit and hunt for bugs in the park, you need to keep your eyes open. Crafts also available. Per craft activity £1 and per kit £1. Children must always be accompanied by a guardian. Pots are designed only for bugs and no other small animal.

Friday, August 12 Mini beast hotel activity day 11am-3pm. Create a little haven for bugs for you take back home and put in your garden. Per child £2.

Friday, August 19 Geocaching activity day 11am-3pm. Join our enthusiasts who will help you understand and find geocaches that are hidden in the parkland at Croome, you'll be ready to find others around the country after this. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Sunday, August 28 Kite flying day 11am-3pm. Bring your own kite to fly on Church hill and watch experts from the Midlands Kite Fliers as they show off their impressive kites, you can even have a go. To purchase a kite £2, free to fly your own.

Wednesday, August 24 Summer Reading Challenge 10am-5pm. National Trust Croome and the Worcestershire Libraries and Learning Service are delighted to announce the return of the Summer Reading Challenge three day event. Story tellers, actors, face painters, crafts, street dance theatre, choirs and much more! Join us and meet our celebrity author Jonathan Emmett. Friday, August 26 Wild Art activity Day Session times: 11am-11.45am; Noon-12.45pm; 1pm-1.45pm and 2pm-2.45pm. Create a clay animal with objects found in the park or a seed bomb. Timed workshops, between 11am and 3pm (finish). Please arrive in time to book onto a workshop. Meet at wild play area. Per child £2.

Saturday, July 23 – Thursday, August 11 Summer Holidays - 50 Things To Do Before You're 11 3/4 10.30am-5pm.Try your hand at our 50 Things summer trail and see how many you can tick off your list. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

3. ELGAR BIRTHPLACE MUSEUM, CROWN EAST LANE, LOWER BROADHEATH

Saturday, July 23 – Sunday, September 4 Summer Holidays - Making Musical Memories 11am-5pm. There will be children's activity stations at the Elgar Birthplace Museum with a variety of activities - find musical instruments, a colouring post and try our Memory Game using Elgar's very own desk! Throughout this time there will also be our Musical Melodies Trail which you can pick up from the Front Desk and learn about many of Elgar's compositions. Thursday, August 11 – Sunday, August 14 LakeFest Something for the whole family! Celebrating its fifth year, and it’s very first year here at Eastnor, Lakefest presents a spectacular summer music festival that you won’t want to miss! 5. HOLBEACHE FARM, TRIMPLEY, NEAR KIDDERMINSTER

Sunday, July 31 Trimpley Heavy Horse Festival 10.30am- 4.30pm. There will be plenty to see and do to keep the family entertained. There will be: tractor and trailer rides, horse and cart rides, donkey rides, fun fair, trade stands, refreshments, car boot, dog show, art displays and of course the wonderful heavy horses.

The foals will be in the stables ready to meet you and there will be lots going on in the working field where you can stand and watch these beautiful creatures at work, as they used to do; ploughing and muck spreading. So please come along and help support us in raising. All proceeds of the show are donated to several local charities as well as the Suffolk Punch Horse Society. Admission: Adults £4, children £2.50.
