BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has been asked if he had any involvement in the mis-selling of mortgage securities after his former employers were hit with a £10.5 billion fine.

Deutsche Bank was handed the huge fine from the US Department of Justice over allegations the institution mis-sold mortgages dating back to 2005.

Former investment banker Mr Javid was a board member and managing director at the bank during the period the alleged wrongdoings took place.

Labour MP Karl Turner urged his political counterpart to “come clean and tell if his role was in any way linked” to the misconduct.

A spokesman for Mr Javid told the Advertiser that he would not be commenting.
