GENEROUS shoppers at Asda in Bromsgrove have helped raise more than £1,000 for breast cancer charities.
Visitors have shown their support for the store’s Tickled Pink charity campaign throughout October by making a donation online or in store, or by purchasing Tickled Pink products.
Colleagues also swapped their green uniforms for a range of pink outfits as part of a special Pink Day, with money raised supporting Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.
Alison Huxley, community champion at Asda on Market Street, said: "There was a superb reaction to the Pink Day, so I’d like to thank all the customers for their support.
"The purpose of the day was to say thank you to our customers for supporting Tickled Pink for the last 20 years.
"The people of Bromsgrove just keep giving - their support has been amazing and really touching."
Tickled Pink, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has raised over £48 million to support breast cancer charities and aims to surpass the £50 million mark this year.
Funds help provide improved care and support for anyone affected by the disease as well as progress towards earlier diagnosis, improved treatments and a greater chance of survival.
To donate, drop into Asda on Market Place or visit your.asda.com/tickled-pink.
