DONALD Trump, witches, and other scary ghouls were among the entries in a school's pumpkin carving competition - but the Presidential candidate didn't top the polls.

Students at Winterfold House School in Chaddesley Corbett submitted pumpkin carvings as part of a competition organised by Friends of Winterfold.

A total of 61 pre-prep and prep pupils joined the fun on Friday, October 21, to help the school get into the Halloween spirit.

Entries included traditional witches and ghosts to more modern offerings including minions, a Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy, a red M&M and Cinderella’s coach.

United States Presidential candidate Donald Trump also received a pumpkin makeover - complete with his infamous blond locks - but missed out on first prize.

Headmistress Mrs Denise Toms, who judged the competition, said: "There were so many great entrants to our pumpkin competition this year.

"We are really pleased that our pupils entered into the ‘spirit’ of things!"

Oliver, 13, and six-year-old Ollie-Joe won for their pumpkin witch and the creation of Monsters Inc character Michael "Mike" Wazowski respectively.
