BROMSGROVE residents are being invited to jump into the Christmas spirit and help support older people in the community by taking part in a charity shop’s annual tombola.

The Extra Care Charitable Trust store on Mill Lane is offering shoppers the chance to win a special Christmas jumper with all proceeds supporting their work with older residents.

Shop manager Jenny Chance said: "We are launching the tombola on Monday (December 5).

"Usually our tombola gives people the chance to win a teddy bear, but this tombola is a little bit different. This year we are going to do a tombola for Christmas jumpers.

"If you pick out a winning ticket you can pick your own Christmas jumper. Money raised will help to give older people an independent, safe and secure future in our community.

"We would like to thank all our loyal customers and volunteers for supporting us this year and we hope this tombola is another great success."

Tickets cost 50p for one or three for £1.
