IT may be billed as the most depressing day of the year, but ‘Blue Monday’ hasn’t been so gloomy for seven lucky Bromsgrove residents after winning the lottery.
The magnificent seven, in Broad Street, Sidemoor, who share the postcode B61 8LR, scooped People’s Postcode Lottery’s Daily Prize of £1,000 each today (Monday, January 16).
People’s Postcode Lottery Ambassador, former X Factor star Danyl Johnson, said: "There’s nothing like a £1,000 win to cheer up the bluest day of the year!
"If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning with your postcode then sign up to play now."
A minimum of 30 per cent of ticket sales from the People’s Postcode Lottery goes directly to charities.
Players have raised more than £168 million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
Just last year, Bromsgrove’s Care Link West Midlands, based in Millennium Court, was awarded £4,850 to develop a recreational sports programme for refugee women and girls.
