MORE than 50 parents and children turned out for a sponsored 'wheelathon' to raise money towards a new outdoor maths and English unit at Jellybabies Nursery.
The fundraiser, which involved bikes, scooters, pushchairs and prams completing lengths of Rubery Park, collected more than £350 towards the cause.
Participants then took a well-earned rest at St Chad's Church, with milk, fruit and homemade cakes.
A spokesman for Jellybabies Nursery, which is based at Longbridge Methodist Church, said: "We would like everyone who took part in the fundraising as well as Rev Claire Turner from St Chad's who opened up the church and welcomed all of our families in to the church and helped served hot drinks for the parents.
"We would also like to thank one of our parents Lois Weaving who helped organise the event."
