CELEBS have been getting in on the action to help a determined Bromsgrove schoolgirl's campaign to have defibrillators installed in every school in the district.

Parkside Middle pupil Emily Faulkner teamed up with the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation to launch 'Every Heart Matters', with her first port of call to raise enough money to get a life-saving unit installed at her school.

With the help of her family's printing business Focal Image, the 10-year-old created specially-designed t-shirts to sell, with proceeds going towards the equipment.

The latest to join the campaign is television presenter Ben Shephard, who tweeted a picture wearing one of Emily's t-shirts to show his support.

Emily attended the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation's park party on Saturday (July 15), where she was presented with her first defib after weeks of fundraising.

She also held a stall at Air Dynamix trampolining club in Halesowen, where she raised another £122 towards the next lot of equipment.

Her aunt Gail Fry said: "She is doing a super job and has now raised a massive £2208.00 with some very generous business donation from Stone & Earth and CDC Contracts Ltd also coming in this week.

"We are really proud of her continued work and drive to hit her target and want to thank everyone for their continued support. Let's see what we can achieve over the next few weeks."
