BROMSGROVE town centre's new retirement village will be open to the public this weekend, allowing retirees to chat with existing residents about the development.

Housebuilder McCarthy and Stone is welcoming potential residents to Bilberry Place on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19, from 11am to 4pm.

The Recreation Road site was designed exclusively for the over-70s, featuring 58 one and two-bedroom apartments, priced from £199,950 to £249,950.

The Living Plus development includes a homeowners' lounge, landscaped gardens, table service restaurant and guest suite.

Potential movers can also find out more about tailored incidentives, aimed to make buying easier, including part exchange.

Martin Edwards, deputy managing director at McCarthy and Stone West Midlands, said: “Since we first opened the doors to Bilberry Place, we’ve had an incredible amount of interest in the development, particularly from local people who want to enjoy their retirement in an area they are familiar with, but are looking to downsize to a more manageable property with access to support when required.

“At already 55 per cent sold, I would urge all those interested in enjoying their retirement to the full to visit Bilberry Place on Friday and Saturday, August 18 and 19, before it is too late.”
