A PLAYGROUP in Bromsgrove, open exclusively to twins, triplets and quadruplets, marked its 10th anniversary this week with a special party for parents, founders and pupils - old and new.

Little Wonders Twins and Multiples was founded in 2007 to offer a support network to new parents, and is currently supervising 60 sets of twins each week from Bromsgrove and beyond.

Alexandra Drury, Little Wonders' treasurer, said: "It is not only a playgroup for newborn to school age twins, triplets or more - it is a vital support group for new parents of multiples.

"Families travel from as far as Worcester and Birmingham on Monday mornings for the special support that only other parents of multiples can offer.

"It is a great place for parents of multiple births to meet and support each other as well as a safe place for children nought to five to play with other multiples."

Local businesses offering twins discounts and children's entertainers Toddler Sense joined the group on September 4 to celebrate the milestone.

Asked what Little Wonders meant to them, one parent said: "[It is] the first place I went and only place that I feel normal to have more than one child the same age. With that comes a tonne of support from fellow multiple4 parents who know just how it feels.

"It's a great and safe play environment for my twins with clean toys. We have also made some great friends here."

The playgroup meets every Monday from 10am to 11.30am during termtime at Bromsgrove Baptist Church in New Road.
