A BROMSGROVE worker aims to overcome her fears when she takes the plunge in a daring charity skydive to raise funds for Primrose Hospice.

Adventurous Anna Brookes will jump from 10,000 feet, freefalling through the air at more than 120mph before parachuting to safety at 5,000 feet.

Ms Brookes, who works at creative agency Superdream UK on Hanbury Road in Stoke Prior, said: “I’m excited about the jump, but also pretty terrified.

“I wanted to challenge myself by taking on something completely outside of my comfort zone and a skydive definitely fulfils this.

“I plan to overcome my fears as I want to play an active part in helping others and contribute to a good cause.

“Primrose Hospice is Superdream’s chosen charity in 2017 and so was the natural choice because of the amazing work that the team does helping people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.”

Anna will make the jump on Saturday, September 23, from Hinton Airfield in Brackley.

Her fundraising will help Primrose Hospice to continue to offer free care, advice and support to patients living with life limiting illnesses and their families living in North East Worcestershire.

Kate Kelly, corporate fundraising manager at the hospice, said: “This year we have seen an influx in numbers of local businesses that have wanted to support their local hospice by taking part in challenge events, such as skydiving.

“We are delighted to see this increase in local support.”
