ST Peter's Catholic First School has been formally recognised for its work with parents and carers.

The academy has been awarded the prestigious Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) for the third time for its 'excellent' relationship with parental figures.

The LPPA report read: "Communication with parents and carers is excellent and all parties are well informed.”

"Parents value the good levels of communication with them and mention how the school has responded positively to their needs. Parents believe that the school works well with them and seeks to support them wherever possible."

Senior leadership and staff were commended for their engagement in children's learning, while also helping to build up parents' confidence and self-esteem.

Headteacher Catherine Clubley said: "We are delighted to be re-awarded the LPPA as it recognises our sustained and continuing efforts to promote a positive parent partnership.

"The staff at St Peter’s understand that engagement with parents is key to successful learning and happy children."
