A HOST of stars will lend their support for a good cause at an annual charity ball raising money in the memory of a two-week old baby from Catshill.

Libby Mae’s Little Angels, launched by Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in 2013, hope the ball will raise thousands in memory of their daughter Libby Mae this Saturday (October 7).

This year’s event features This Morning presenter Alison Hammond and BBC WM’s Daz Hale as hosts, with performances from X Factor and I’m A Celebrity… star Jake Quickenden.

All money raised by the charity will help in its bid to fund neo-natal units in the Midlands.

Sponsors law firm Irwin Mitchell have worked closely with Charlotte and Richard Sharratt to help spread awareness of neonatal units and the life-saving changes they can make.

Laura Ralfe, a specialist medical negligence solicitor based in Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham office, said: “We’re delighted and proud to be sponsoring Libby Mae’s Little Angels’ annual charity ball.

“Many of us at Irwin Mitchell have been able to see first-hand the life-saving work that neonatal units provide, with many of our clients reliant on them in their most urgent time of need.

“To be able to help spread awareness of the importance of neonatal units and assist Libby Mae’s Little Angels in raising funds means more people can get the help they need.”

The ball, which is set on a 'glitter' theme, takes place at Birmingham’s Macdonald Burlington Hotel with limited tickets available from £65.

Charlotte Sharratt added: “We are honoured and delighted to be supported by such a huge company as Irwin Mitchell. Their support so far has been amazing.”
