GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there has been two crashes near to each other on the M5 which are causing delays.

One lane is closed on the exit slip road of M5 northbound at J1 due an incident involving four cars, while a lane is closed due to another incident on M5 southbound between J1 and J2 (Oldbury).

Traffic is slow on A441 Alvechurch Highway in Redditch both ways between Middlehouse Lane / Millrace Road and Dagnell End Road.

This is due to the temporary traffic lights which are in place at Weights Lane during construction of a roundabout access to a new housing estate.

There is also the usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include: Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak and there are telecoms work and temporary traffic lights in place in Barnt Green on Bittell Road at Fiery Hill Road.

Summervale Road in Hagley is closed both ways due to water main work between A456 Kidderminster Road, Worcester Road, Western Road and Milestone Drive.
