REDDITCH Rugby Club ran out of players this week which resulted with them having to concede their proposed trip to top of the table Stoke Old Boys in Midlands 4 West South.
Spokesman Brian Carr explained: "As it was previously a free weekend, many of the players had obtained tickets for the England v Ireland game and there was also a wedding taking place as well.
"Consequently, we were unable to field a viable legal team.
"The only front row player we had available had no first team experience, so it would have been dangerous for them to scrummage against the league leaders.
"Under that ruling, we had to concede the game and it goes down as a 0-0, with Stoke getting the five points and we do not have any further sanction.
"It's not an ideal scenario, but better that someone getting injured."
Redditch travel to second placed Bedworth this Saturday.
That is followed by a critical game against Tenbury on Easter Saturday which is a contest Redditch must realistically win in their battle to beat the drop.
