EIGHT lambs and a ewe have been found dead in a field in Romsley.

The bodies were discovered off Uffmore Lane at 10.30am today (Tuesday, April 10).

The animals were covered in bite marks, which police say were most likely caused by a dog attack.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "If you have any information about this incident please contact the police on 101, quoting reference 0294S, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Officers are also reminding dog owners that livestock worrying is a crime.

The spokesman added: "If you are a dog owner please follow the Countryside Code to make sure your morning walk remains fun for all involved."
