BROAD Street DIY is hosting a charity 'bake off' in aid of Dodford Children's Animal Farm.

Staff at the Worcester Road store will be judging the taste and overall appearance of bakers' creations on Wednesday, April 18, and crowning the best chef 'Broad Street DIY's Star Baker'.

The winner will take home a special Star Baker apron.

Bakers are asked to drop their cakes in to the shop by 12pm on April 18, along with a list of ingredients used.

Cakes must be wrapped or boxed appropriately with the baker's name and contact details attached.

After judging, the cakes will be sliced and sold with all profits donated to Broad Street DIY's nominated charity for 2018.

Director Lisa Childs said: "Dodford Children’s Farm is our nominated charity for 2018 and we plan to run regular fundraising events during the year.

"With the growing trend for home baking we thought a bake off would be well supported and help us raise a decent amount of money for the charity.”
