THE daughter of Jay Olds has paid tribute her “happy-go-lucky” dad, who died following an incident at a Bromsgrove pub earlier this month.
The 47-year-old collapsed in the Dog and Pheasant pub on Worcester Road pub at around 8.50pm on Saturday, April 7, and was found by ambulance services in cardiac arrest.
He was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in a serious condition, where he later sadly died.
His daughter Leah said: “There was no one who could walk into a room and light it up like my dad did.
“He always created laughter and joy. He was very much a happy-go lucky joker.
“With those around him, the Villa ground was his happy place, as well as his season ticket.
“As much as we liked to disagree, he always treated me like the princess he chose to name me after.
“To lose someone so special, the pain really is unbearable.
“I love you so much pops. You'll always be my wonderwall.”
Police investigations continue and anyone with information can call 101 and quote incident 683s of April 7, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.
