CELEBRATIONS are in order at Clent Community and Social Club after it was named 'club of the year'.
The club, on Pool Furlong, was awarded its 'gold' accolade by Redditch and Bromsgrove CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
Dawn Bubb, who has been running the club with her husband Steve for seven years this April, said: "We are over the moon to have won.
"They put it down to the quality of our beer and the nice atmosphere when you come into the club.
"We won broze last year so the cupboard is full!
"There is quite a lot of clubs in the competition so to win gold is a massive achievement and we are over the moon."
The club, who was presented a trophy by CAMRA on Wednesday, April 18, will now be in with the chance of contesting the national quarter finals, subject to a visit from a mystery marker.
