BROMSGROVE District Housing Trust (bdht) has come 2nd in a national list of the UK's best workplaces.

Bdht achieved a 98 per cent satisfaction score in an anonymous survey for the annual Best Workplaces competition, which recognises high trust and engagement in workplace culture.

Mike Brown, chief executive of bdht, said: "We have once again achieved a fantastic staff satisfaction score which is hugely rewarding and gratifying to see.

"We place great importance and pride in our culture here at bdht and employee happiness, welfare and general wellbeing is a priority for us.

"When our employees are fulfilled and happy in their roles, they in turn provide the highest level of service to our customers and I am extremely grateful for their continued dedication and hard work.”

The not-for-profit organisation came 7th on the Great Place to Work list for companies with 50 to 499 employees in 2016, and topped the list last year.
