POLICE in Bromsgrove have launched a campaign to raise awareness of Safer Neighbourhood Teams and their active role in tackling crime in communities.
Leaflets are being distributed to homes across the district, detailing the services provided by SNTs and how to contact them.
Superintendent for north Worcestershire Stacey Williamson said: “Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams are based locally in stations around West Mercia and focus on matters that are important to each local community.
"I would encourage anyone needing advice on reducing crime and protecting themselves, their family and property, to contact our teams directly to make an appointment.”
The Meet Your Safer Neighbourhood Team campaign is part of the force’s ongoing work to improve services, which has so far involved investment in technology to help officers to be more available and visible on our streets.
Assistant Chief Constable Martin Evans said: “We are committed to improving the services we provide to ensure that everyone who needs our help receives the right support as quickly as possible.
"We have invested in mobile technology so that our officers can be more available and visible to the public and to help us effectively investigate crimes and bring offenders to justice.”
