HUNDREDS of miniature handmade models of buses and cars will go on display at Wythall Transport Museum this bank holiday weekend.

Monday will see the annual gathering of the Model Bus Federation, with displays of intricately detailed models.

Museum trustee Dave Taylor said: "Model building for many enthusiasts is a work of art. Many of the dioramas on show have taken years of patience to build and give a fascinating insight into the skills of the Federation members who travel to Wythall annually from all over the country to show off their handy work.”

The museum will also be running its miniature railway rides throughout the day, and the full-sized bus collection will be operating frequent services.

The museum if located off the M42 junction three near Becketts Farm.

It is open Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday from 10.30am to 5pm.
