A MICHELIN-star chef has launched his new range of artisan salts at an exclusive event at Webbs, Wychbold.

Brad Carter, a regular on BBC's Saturday Kitchen, has created three flavoured salts - charcoal, coastline and sea truffle - in partnership with Droitwich Salt.

Chef Carter launched the range at a food masterclass on June 10, attended by 100 guests who were among the first to get their hands on the Webbs-exclusive products.

Droitwich Salt producer Will Kerton introduced guests to the history of local salt, before Webbs food hall's master butcher Nigel Buxton demonstrated the best ways to prepare and season meat for maximum flavour.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Chef Carter said: "I was intrigued by the purity of Droitwich Salt and its provenance which is why I use it in my own restaurant and have become their ambassador.

"Supporting local producers is so important to us which is why we chose Webbs as a venue because of its close links with the local suppliers and quality products.

"It was an absolute pleasure to join Will and Nigel to introduce the new salt to such an engaged audience.”

The artisan salts are now available to buy online or in-store at Webbs for £5.99. Visit webbsdirect.co.uk.
