A TEAM of children from Bromsgrove Preparatory School helped improve their local area by taking part in a litter pick.
Children from the school's Eco Committee volunteered to take part in the event on June 8.
The youngsters were inspired to take part after learning about plastic pollution as part of World Ocean Day, where there were told it could take 450 years for plastic bottles to decompose.
Sam Dakin, Year 4 teacher, added: “The Eco committee was greeted by a very grateful local resident who commended the pupils on their effort and commitment."
