THREE local solicitors are volunteering their services to help people write a will in exchange for a donation to Bromsgrove's Primrose Hospice.

The hospice's Make a Will Week, which will run from Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 12, will see solicitors MFG, Gordon Jones and Astwood Law donating their time free of charge to write or update wills.

Instead of accepting their normal fee, the solicitors will ask for a minimum donation of £95, or £150 for a mirrored will, with all money going to Primrose Hospice. For more complicated wills, a fee will be agreed in advance.

Emma Williams, fundraising manager at Primrose, said: "Most people are aware that they should make a will but it is always one of those jobs we all put off.

"Making a will ensures that your family and friends are looked after and that your wishes are carried out.

"This is the perfect opportunity to get it done and help support your local hospice at the same time.

“There of course is absolutely no obligation to include a gift in your will to Primrose Hospice if you take part in this scheme, however any such gift you make today would enable us to care for people long into the future."

To book an appointment, contact one of the participating solicitors and mention the Primrose Hospice Make a Will Week campaign.
