Students are going green

STUDENTS at a town school were going green when an environmental roadshow dropped in for a visit.

The BP Enterprising Science programme visited North Bromsgrove High School, in School Drive, giving youngsters the opportunity to participate in an interactive programme.

The pupils, aged between 14 and 16, were asked to draw up a carbon reduction plan for a fictional college and looked at the social, environmental and economic implications. They were then challenged to consider ways of reducing the carbon footprint at North Bromsgrove, sharing the results with other schools online as part of a nationwide competition. Science teacher Kevin Beesley said the activities stretched students of all abilities.
